Inspired Momentum Newsletter,
October/November

In this issue:

Greetings,

You will notice that my newsletter and website’s appearance is quite different now.  The motifs and colors are inspired from nature. And the fern for me evokes a glorious momentum of reaching towards the highest possibilities.  During many walks through our west coast forested areas in the last few years, I have been delighted at the sight of luscious ferns with arms outstretched, quenching their thirst for light.

You may notice also that my current tagline represents a call to living to the fullest in all aspects of our lives.  What this means to me is a way of living in congruence with my most heartfelt values at home, in my workplace and my community.  It’s also about being compelled by an urgency of purpose and committed to leading a life of significance.

Specifically, on a daily basis, this means that we are willing to take risks and rise up to new challenges so that we continually unfold towards new thresholds of wholeness and engagement. Embracing wholeness means, in a few words, that we bring the light of our accepting awareness into our shadows as well as our luminous qualities.  And when we live fully we don’t hold back from our natural propensity towards goodness and generosity; we’re willing to give our care and compassion to others with some discernment but without the judgment of whether they “deserve” it or not.

In wholeheartedness,

Isabelle

Emphasis on Tools: Appreciative Inquiry

When Appreciative Inquiry is used thoughtfully and skilfully to enhance and enrich teams, it has the power of yielding transformative results.  Although it has grown in popularity since it’s origin in the 80’s, it is still not widely known in all organizations.  Yet, it is designed to evoke new ideas, stir up renewed energies and lead to innovations and their implementations.  Essentially, Appreciative Inquiry is about a set of principles that guide our thinking and our conversations towards the best of what is in a particular human system (team, organization, or family).  Then, in the process, we discover what could be and create visions for a future that closes the gap between current reality and the reality we most desire.

To find out more about how Appreciative Inquiry can improve the culture in your workplace, the effectiveness of your team, or your collective ability to master change, please contact Isabelle for more info
