Inspired News from Isabelle – Summer 2007 Issue
In this issue:
Welcome,
Greetings to you, from the Pacific Northwest, where the summer is gradually drawing to a close. Back home from Bali now, I write with the memories of the many enchanting and inspiring moments I experienced there during the Awakening Global Action conference. Following this event, many of us are remaining in contact and sharing our resources to sustain our momentum of actionable ideas and to be of service to humanity.
There were many visual delights to be enjoyed in Bali and the photos here are just a tiny sampling of the sights. Following my workshop on Authentic and Generative Leadership at the conference, I went to East Bali and Seraya where I sat gazing at the ocean waves for some time while envisioning the retreat I will lead in that area next year.
Among the many rewarding moments I experienced in Bali was a conversation in which special friends of mine said that they would like to sponsor the continuing education of Suardika, the young brother of my dear Balinese friend Plentung. On this picture with his daughter Putu, Plentung was determined but very challenged by his goal to support his young brother’s education which is very costly for people there. Now he is relieved and extremely grateful for the sponsorship from my American friends. This was my third time in Bali and I certainly noticed many unmet needs for access to higher education. In association with the Bali Children‘s Project www.balichildrensproject.org, I invite you to consider sponsoring young people to access a level of education that can lift them out of poverty. Please contact me for more info if you wish.
In my spring newsletter, I explained that I was in the process of sponsoring a young Balinese person I got to know since my first time in Bali in December 05. Sang Tu’s dream of coming overseas came to reality when we landed in Vancouver as I returned from Bali on August 11.
He has been attending the Language and Culture program at UBC. And we’ve been enjoying wonderful sights such as the view from the top of Whistler Mountain, Stanley Park and much more. Sang Tu has also been meeting many great local people some of whom have fond memories of being in Bali. He will return home to his wife and family on Sept. 5th.

Retreat in the works
If you have heard about but have not yet been to Bali, please consider joining us next year in June where I will team up with a knowledgeable and wise Balinese person to offer an outstanding retreat. It will offer a balanced blend of group conversations, insight-generating exercises, meditation, poetry sharing, guided walks in exquisite areas and Balinese wisdom and spiritual traditions. As well, there will be time to reflect so that participants will leave with renewed clarity and motivation about how they want to give themselves over to their Life. The 2 photos here show the parts of the Seraya Shores hotel/retreat location where the majority of this event will unfold. Please stay tuned for more information in the fall and winter newsletter.
Autumn’s opportunity
After most of us travel, socialize, and enjoy many summer pleasures, we may find ourselves needing to restore the balance of our inner and outer life. And if you find yourself dreading your return to work after a vacation, it likely indicates that it is time for you to re-assess whether your work is contributing to or undermining your spiritual/psychological/emotional and physical well-being. Sure, your work pays the bills but is the cost to you greater than its rewards?
Fall time lends itself well to the opportunity, to go within, reflect, and re-assess whether your daily course of action is matching the trajectory you need to be on for your dreams to manifest. Your dreams are like the children of your soul, if we loose sight of them, you may someday awaken to painful regrets as if you had abandoned your own real children. If you want to get into an inspired momentum and move steadily towards a more fulfilling and satisfying life, look up and read the pages “Is coaching for you?” on my site. Then, I invite you to a conversation about whether Inspired Momentum coaching is your next best move towards being, doing and having what you most yearn for.
Wishing you well in all of your endeavors,
